Enjoy a day in Cambridge with an opportunity to study and perform Rutter's much-loved Requiem. The day starts with warm-ups and rehearsal session led by expert choir trainer and conductor Tim Brown (formerly Director of Music, Clare College). After lunch Sir John Rutter will then lead the afternoon rehearsal and run-through, which will end in time for those who wish to attend Evensong at King's College to make their way to the Chapel in good time for the service.
No special singing skill is required to take part though some ability to read music will be desirable but not obligatory - enthusiasm and a willingness to learn/listen is more important!!
Vocal scores will be provided.
The singing day will raise money for music-making in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank, a vital element in the search for peace in the Middle East.
BOOK EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT!
