Berwang Music ’26 is now over. Bring on 2027!
After a thrilling week of music-making, sight-seeing, and socialising, culminating in an acclaimed performance of Beethoven’s Mass in C in the Cathedral of St Jakob, Innsbruck, we are now looking forward to Berwang Music ’27, from Friday 13 to Sunday 22nd August, when the principal work to be studied will be the German Requiem of Brahms (in German). This will be in the piano-duet version, made by Brahms himself, directed by Tim Brown and featuring David Dunnett, returning by popular demand, as one of the two pianists!
With returning singers already booking accommodation for 2027 from around Europe, the UK, Israel and the USA, we anticipate another exciting course.
Apart from studying the Requiem, we will learn a mixed repertoire of other choral gems, and there will be plenty of spare time for pop-up groups to sing together.

Brahms Requiem
A unique opportunity, in a holiday atmosphere, to study one of the great choral classics under the direction of internationally renowned choral director Tim Brown (Clare College, Cambridge, UK), assisted by distinguished organist David Dunnett (until 2025 Organist of Norwich Cathedral, UK). Rehearsals take place each day, alongside numerous social activities and excursions.
